Lincoln's Little Free Libraries-Updated

There are now 49 Little Free Libraries in Lincoln. The newest addition is 1620 SW 26th St and has been named "Westside Story." 

Have you ever been lucky enough to stumble upon a Little Free Library? My daughters and I were out walking and found a small hutch, bench and chair clustered together on a quiet street corner, surrounded by blooming trees. On the hutch was a sign, "Little Free Library" and inside were about forty books: childrens' and adult titles. A Free Little Library is a "take a book, return a book" gathering place for neighbors to share books.

My daughters and I sat on the bench and went through every children's book in there. We read books for almost an hour in the beautiful sunshine. After a long deliberation they decided to take home "Hop on Pop" and I borrowed "The Interestings." Upon returning home, my older daughter immediately started going through her books to decide which she would give back to the Little Free Library.

Below is a list of each library's address. One of our summer to-dos is to go to each library (this is probably going to extend into the fall with so many libraries). My hope is to park a few blocks away and have the girls "discover" it. They are magical little corners to find-especially for little ones.
