Step 1: pre-wash your shirt
Step 2: put your cardboard inside the t-shirt. Your child will paint on the shirt and this will prevent bleeding through to the back of the shirt.
Step 3: use the brush to paint one hand blue. Be generous with the paint. I probably should have loaded my kids' hands up more!
Step 4: quickly place the blue hand down on the shirt in the upper left corner. Press firmly on their hand, but don't move it around! Lift the hand straight up.
Step 5: wash that little blue hand!
* I chose to let the shirt dry overnight at this point, but you could just keep going if you'd like to! *
Step 6: Paint the red stripes. I painted the first one for my 6 year old and then told her when she should draw a bigger line under her hand print.
For my 3 year old I painted the top and bottom lines and she painted lines in between.
