Do you have a child obsessed with tractors? Looking for a fun and different activity for your kids? We went to the Larsen Tractor Test & Power Museum (aka the Tractor Museum) on UNL East Campus and had a great time.
It is filled with old tractors that kids can ogle and a tractor that they can climb in and pretend to drive. Some of the tractors date back to the early 1900s. The tractor that kids can drive is very similar to the one at the Lincoln Children's Museum except there are even more levers and buttons to push.
If you are lucky enough to talk to Jerry, one of the volunteers, you can hear all about the history of the museum and what they do. We are excited to go back in the summer and see the tractors being tested out on the track.
The best part? It has its own parking lot so you don't have to worry about parking! After we played there for an hour we walked over to the Dairy Store for some ice cream.
Admission is by donation. The Larsen Tractor Test and Power Museum is supported entirely through donations.
