Lincoln has a lot of pools and they have different amenities. We swim almost every day in the summer. Thinking about joining a pool. Which one is right for your family this summer?
Public Pools
Lincoln City Pools
Lincoln City Pools open May 29th (weather permitting). There are nine Lincoln Public Pools. Of those nine, six are neighborhood pools (Arnold Heights, Ballard, Belmont, Eden, Irvingdale and Woods). All neighborhood pools have a large lap swim pool and a kiddie pool. Woods Pool has the large lap swim pool, kiddie pool and a sprayground. The neighborhood pools are open every day from 1:00-5:00 PM and the pools rotate family swim evening hours from 6:00-8:00 PM.
There are three Aquatic Centers in Lincoln: Highlands, University Place and Star City Shores. The Aquatic Centers have zero depth entry and, depending on the center, have a playground and/or sprayground.

Gyms with Outdoor Pools
YMCA, Madonna ProActive Medical Fitness, Genesis Health Clubs
There are several Lincoln gyms that also have great outdoor pool facilities for the summer. When you join these pools, you are also joining a gym so you can swim with the kids and get a workout in on the treadmill. The Lincoln gyms that also have pools are: YMCA, Madonna ProActive Medical Fitness, and Genesis Health Clubs.
Of the four YMCAs in Lincoln, three have outdoor pool facilities: Fallbrook, Cooper, and Copple Family. In addition to the outdoor pools, all the YMCA gyms with outdoor pools have splash pad areas. Genesis East Health Club and Madonna have large outdoor pools, kiddie pools and splash pads. The Genesis Racquet Club has a large pool, a kiddie pool and a playground for younger kids in its outside area.

Eastridge Pool
This private pool is located in the Eastridge neighborhood, near O St and 70th St. It has two pools: one full size pool with a diving board and two slides and a separate baby pool that is fenced in. They have a very active swim team with over 140 swimmers and divers. They offer lesson and water aerobics to their members. To learn more about Eastridge Pool and joining click here.
Meadowlane Pool
Meadowlane Pool is a private pool located at the corner of Lancaster Ln. & Meadowdale Dr. The pool was opened in 1961 and has been supported by neighbors ever since! To learn more about Meadowlane and joining click here.

Country Clubs
The Country Club of Lincoln, Hillcrest Country Club, Yankee Hill Country Club and Firethorn Golf Club.
A country club is a privately owned club, that offer sports and facilities. One of those facilities is often outdoor pools. The other sports that are offered can be golf and tennis and there are usually dining and entertaining areas. Some country clubs offer passes solely for recreation-the pool and dining and entertaining. Most clubs require a membership application, initiation and monthly/yearly dues. Lincoln has four country clubs with outdoor pool facilities.
