By Mary Monahan June 1, 2017

The sun is going down late and it is warm outside-a perfect time to go on a date with your significant other! Here are our top choices for date nights in our area in June.

Lincoln Restaurant Week is June 2-June 8 and is the ultimate date for food-lovers. You will enjoy a limited-time specialty menu, featuring a variety of three courses, from some of Lincoln's favorite restaurants. For more information click here.

Wildflower Walk-What better time to check out some of nature's beauty than in June on a wildflower walk? Spring Creek Prairie hosts this event and you'll walk for 1.5 hours in the beautiful Nebraska prairie looking for native wildflowers and grasses.

Ploughshare Beer Dinner-Got an ale fan in your house? These delicious dinners are paired with tasty beers. For tickets click here.

Brews at the Zoo-Support our local Lincoln Children's Zoo with their annual fundraiser. You'll enjoy some tasty craft beers and amazing music. Brats and burgers are available for purchase.

Shakespeare in the Park-Have lovelier words ever been uttered? A night with Flatwater Shakespeare Company is very popular among Lincolnites. For a full schedule of their (FREE) shows click here.

Saltdogs Game-Spend your evening cheering on our local team, eating popcorn and (if you're lucky) watching fireworks. I love this for a date night because you get to chat with your spouse while watching a outdoor sporting event. For their full schedule click here.

Yoga in the Vines-Yoga at a vineyard? What will they think of next? Start the morning nurturing your body & mind. Yoga starts at 10:00 am with snacks & mimosas to follow! To learn more click here.

African American History Bike Ride-Join the Nebraska History Museum, the State Historic Preservation Office, the Malone Center and the Great Plains Trails Network on a bike tour with city Historic Preservation Planner Ed Zimmer. They will explore Lincoln's African American neighborhoods and the gravesites of African American men and women who have contributed to our state and nation. This event is June 3rd, Cost is $15, $10 for NSHS members. Refreshments included. Limited to 30 people. Must be 16 or older to participate.
