Tyrannosaurus Rex! Triceratops! Ankylosaurs! Oh my! Jurassic Quest is at the Lancaster Event Center Friday, November 10th through Sunday, November 12th. JQ invited our family to experience it on Friday evening. I'm a big dinosaur fan, I was probably more excited to visit than my kids were to see the lifesize, robotic dinosaurs.
The beginning of the show is 80 life-size dinosaurs, many of which are robotic and and make realistic noises. The Tyrannosaurs Rex and the Spinosaurus are huge! Your imagination can't compete with real-life when you see just how enormous these dinosaurs were.
The second part of the show is a row of jumping castles and inflatables, a great way for kids to get that energy out.
The third area is a section with activities and crafts. We enjoyed a craft station, a science area, a dino dig and lots of special dinosaurs attraction like riding a dinosaur, participating in a dinosaur race, and more. This part of the show also has baby dinosaurs that come out and act with the crowd. Everyone smiled upon seeing a tiny triceratops.
I was most impressed with the staff of the show who were patient and very kind. The crew with the baby dinosaurs made sure to work through the entire crowd so that every guest got to see them. The staff at the dinosaur riding area asked the kids their name, what dinosaur was their favorite and if they were having fun.
The cost to see Jurassic Quest is $29/kids VIP (2-12), $18/Kids Ticket (2-12), Adults/$16 (13 years and up), Seniors $14 and under 2 years of age is FREE. I would suggest getting the VIP pass which includes unlimited inflatables, unlimited dinosaur rides, unlimited dinosaur scooters and more. I would compare the VIP pass with going to the fair and not getting a wrist band. You get a lot more bang for your buck with the VIP pass.
I would plan for at least 3 hours at Jurassic Quest. We were there for three hours and our kids could have stayed longer. If you have a child that really adores dinosaurs this show would be very special and memorable for them.
You can find Jurassic Quest on their website, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
