7 Places You Can Watch Free or Inexpensive Movies this Summer

2018 in Lincoln & Omaha

May 16, 2018

Remember going to the drive-in? You'd have on your pjs, your mom would have packed tons of snacks and popcorn and you'd settle into the car for two movies. The first movie was usually for kids and the second was for adults (assuming the kids were asleep). The drive-in in my town had a playground and a giant pile of rocks for kids to climb (and fall off of-probably wouldn't be allowed in today's society). Sadly, drive-ins are mostly a thing of the past.

There are many places with outdoor movies in our area, a couple in Lincoln and in the Omaha area. If you are up for a small drive you can head over to one of theirs as well. Many of the movie series' are free to attend and most of the movies are family-friendly. Summer weather is unpredictable, as is technology, so it is always good to call ahead/check online and ensure that the movie is playing.
