We are seeking families with children who are 3, 4, 5, or 6 years of age! To participate, children must be typically developing and fluent in English. Multiple siblings can participate per family, and we have a space for siblings to play for those that are too young or old to participate in our study.
We are asking families to set aside a 2-hour block of time for your participation and to come and visit our lab attached to UNL’s football stadium! We have free reserved parking in the lot outside of the East Stadium entrance and Morrill Hall. During the study, your child will have a chance to play math, spatial, and verbal games (about an hour for the child). In addition, we have a few surveys for the parents to fill out (about 15 minutes for the parent). At the end of the study, we will discuss your child’s math, verbal, and spatial performance with you if you wish. In addition, you will receive $20 per participating child and a small toy to take home as a token of our appreciation.
Many families find that this is a great first exposure for their children to UNL. It is a great family outing for the summer, where you actually get to take home money for the activity! And with Morrill Hall and the Sheldon Art Gallery right on campus, many families make a day outing of the trip. We hope to see you and your family soon, during the day, in the evening, or on a weekend!
