Road Trip: The Edgerton Explorit Center

By Mary Monahan June 13, 2018

Need to get out of town? We had a great time at The Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora, NE. The EEC is a science center with 35 interactive exhibits. We spent three hours playing with a Glow Wall, exploring the magnetic run area, making giant bubbles and more. When it was time to go they were pleading to stay thirty more minutes in the hopes of exploring more.

The Edgerton Explorit Center isn't just for little kids. Both my older kids loved the flight simulator and the Bubble Tubes were a hit with all of us.

I loved the life size “Operation” game. I challenged my daughters to it and guess who won? This lady! You could bring your two year and a teenager and everyone would have things to do. There isn’t anything to break in the EEC so no need to worry about destructive toddlers.

Admission for the EEC is $9.95 ages 2-60, over 60 and military is $8.95 and under 2 is free. To learn more about the EEC visit their website or follow them on Facebook. They are located at 208 16th Street in Aurora, NE, their phone number is 402-694-4032 and they are open Monday through Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 1-5. It is an especially great place to visit on a super hot summer day or very cold winter day!
