A NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER: NOVEMBER 28, 2019

By Mary Monahan November 27, 2019

You know the books "If you give a mouse a cookie?" They usually start with "if you give a mouse a cookie, he'll ask for milk and once he has milk he will need"...and the book continues that way. My life became a version of that book last weekend when I went into my youngest daughter's room and started putting away clothes.

I hung up a few shirts and after five minutes I decided that we needed to clean the floors which led to us moving the bunk bed. After moving the bed, which took about 20 minutes since it apparently weighs as much as a small car, we realized that it would be better in the new spot. We started wiping down walls and cleaning windows. The new layout required us moving dressers, toys, a rug and once we got all the toys out, well, we might as well go through them and decide if we really need them. This started several discussions of, "But do you really play with that anymore?"

Almost four hours later and I found myself in the closet again hanging up clothes. If her room wasn't completely different looking I would have thought it was all a dream and the past four hours hadn't happened.

Have a good weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving,

Mary
