Spark: An Immersive Summer Day Camp

By Matthew Tebo May 27, 2020

Make it a summer they won’t forget! Spark is a fun and exciting summer learning experience at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church for K-5 kids. It’s designed to spark their creativity and curiosity with projects based in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. At Spark we've packed a ton of STEAM learning into every week.

Our curriculum is based on the highly regarded Museum of Science in Boston and our hands first learning is the type of enriching fun kiddos crave. But this isn’t back-to-school for the summer. This program also includes plenty of outdoor time, play and weekly field days.

Play all summer or drop in for a week here and there—Spark has your summer childcare needs covered.

The 2020 program runs June 22-July 31. Kids can attend for one week, a couple of weeks or for the entire length of the program from as early as 7 a.m. to as late as 6 p.m. each day. Spark provides breakfast, lunch and a daily snack as well as transportation to and from all field trips.

Weekly themes include:

  • Human Body: If The Shoe Fits
  • Earth Materials: Sticky Material Mash-Ups
  • Magnetism: The Force of Magnets Awakens
  • Electricity: Alarming Energy
  • Sound: Seeing Animal Sounds
  • Virtual Reality: Into the Unknownnnnnnn!
