Autumn Break Childcare Options

If you have children at LPS, there is a four day weekend coming up (October 31-Nov 3). Need childcare for Autumn Break? Here are options.

Pioneers Park-Fall Fun Days


Monday, Nov 2 | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm | $40/child
Tuesday, Nov 3 | 8:30 am - 5:00 pm | $40/child
*Extended care options from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm

Hike,  explore, and adventure at the Pioneers Park Nature Center.Campers will  be outside the majority of each day and will need to bring a sack lunch,  water bottle, and an extra change of clothes and shoes daily. Nature  Day Camps are designed to inspire curiosity and build understanding of  others and their surroundings through guidance of caring staff,  featuring the outdoors,and natural wonder. Protocols aligning with current Directed Health  Measures will be followed.

Kids aged 6 and up can go to a painting class! On Monday, kids will paint a "Beary Fall" painting and on November 3 they will paint an "Ellie the Elephant Door Hanger."

Lincoln Parks and Recreation

Join us for supervised play when school is not in session. Registration will begin in mid-September; visit our website to register. Organized games, crafts, occasional field trips and selected activities. Children must bring a sack lunch, drink and tennis shoes. An afternoon snack will be provided. Fall break camps are at two locations: Belmont Recreation Center and Calvert Recreation Center. Children in K-5 may be signed up.

KidsPark of Lincoln

No need to sign up, just drop your kids off! KidsPark is drop-off childcare located in South Lincoln (14th and Old  Cheney). They accept kids aged 18 months thru 11 years of age. Older kids are on Blue Crew,  they play board games, do art projects, science experiments, play Legos and there is even a Wii. Toddlers enjoy playing in their playhouse and building with blocks. The preschooler's favorites are the train sets, doll houses, and cars. Aside from the toys there is something going on every hour: art projects, games, or STEM explorations. My Gym

At My Gym camp we activate the fun every single day – SO LET THE FUN BEGIN! Energizing games, exciting gymnastics, cool arts and crafts, and music that guarantees to keep them moving and engaged. And they can kiss boredom goodbye with themes and programs that constantly change, so no two weeks of camp are ever the same. Our drop-off program, pay-by-day options and multi-day and sibling discounts make My Gym camp an awesome, affordable, no-stress option.


YMCA Out of School Days

YMCA Out of School Days is a licensed child care program offered at the Cooper, Copple Family, Fallbrook & Northeast YMCA locations on some Lincoln Public Schools non-school days for youth in Kindergarten through age 13. Program staff plan fun and developmentally appropriate activities. Activities include crafts, games, gym time, and/or swimming! On each Out of School Day, participants should come to the Y with a swimming suit and sack lunch. 

Lincoln Children's Museum

Prepare to get messy as we make some wild and interesting creations using everyday ingredients! You’ll have a chance to transform simple items into amazing masterpieces, combining our knowledge of engineering and art into this hands-on day of play and learning. Add lunch for $5 per day per child!

Lincoln Children's Zoo


Monday, November 2 & Tuesday, November 3 | 8:30 am - 4:30 pm | $90/members and $110/non-members

Off-Season Camps are a great way for your child to experience the Zoo in the off season and explore and learn all that happens during the colder months. All Zoo Camps are led by a group of highly skilled instructors and aided by real zookeepers. Zoo camps are for 5-12 year olds.
