Math Study for 3-5 Year Olds

Researchers at UNL are studying relationships between early math environments and children’s math skills. We are inviting preschool-aged children and their families to participate.

To participate in this research, your child must: 

  • Be 3 to 5 years old 
  • Understand English
  • Attend a childcare program

Participation in this study involves:

  • Parent completing an online questionnaire at home
  • Parent recording and uploading two parent-child engagement videos. Instructions will be provided. (Videos are around 10 minutes)
  • Your child completing math activities with researcher at your home. Researcher can meet inside or outside the home (yard) and masks and gloves are worn at all times.
  • Your child’s teacher completing an online questionnaire
  • Parents will receive $50, teachers will receive $30, and children will receive a child book for participation
