We drove over the Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum on February 14 (showing our love of science on Valentine's Day) and we had a great day! It has been a few years since we had been there and I definitely won't be waiting that long to visit again.
The SACA Museum is home to two phenomenal science exhibits for families: Build It STEM Exhibit (Temporary) and Children's Learning Center (permanent). Both are good for all ages. The Children's Learning Center is good for all ages, including toddler and preschool; while elementary-aged children and up will enjoy the Build It STEM Exhibit more.

After working our way through the various kinds of engineering we went to the Children's Learning Center. My kids could have stayed in this room for the rest of the day. Between the Tennis Ball Launcher, the Bernoulli Blower and the Giant Light Brite, they were in heaven! After spending time here, we moved onto the airplanes. What I really like about the SACA Museum is the space. There is room to move, to run and to explore.

The museum follows Covid protocols and there are lots of hand sanitizing stations.
They are located at 28210 West Park Highway, Ashland, NE 68003 (next to Mahoney State Park), just off I-80 between Lincoln and Omaha at Exit 426.
