Spring is my favorite season and that is largely due to flowers- I love tulips, daffodils and irises. Want to get a good dose of spring flower fever? Here are three places to go to see tulips and daffodils (and eventually irises, lillies and peonies). Most of the spring flowers will be up around early to mid April. Irises, lillies and peonies arrive late spring/early summer.

Maxwell Arboretum on East Campus
In mid April, you are going to see lots of daffodils and other early spring flowers at East Campus. As it warms up, you will find a great iris garden that we love to walk through. Maxwell Arboretum is a great place to explore. I also like to visit the Dairy Store when I'm there.

Lauritzen Gardens
A few years ago, Lauritzen Gardens committed to planting 1,000,000 daffodil bulbs. Each year, more and more bloom resulting in a field of daffodils! We went over Easter a few years ago and it is just beautiful. Follow their Facebook page to see when blooms are coming out.
