At Christ Lincoln Preschool we believe that each child is a unique individual, and that each child is gifted by God with his or her own special interests and abilities. We have designed our Preschool to enable children to recognize and develop these God-given skills. Children will learn to know Jesus as their Savior and “best friend” through bible stories, devotions, songs and chapel. Children will learn about God’s world through color, shapes, sizes, numbers, letters, music, and so much more as we prepare them for Kindergarten!
Christ Lincoln Childcare & Preschool believes that children learn best through play and developmentally appropriate activities provided for learning. These opportunities will incorporate learning in all developmental areas – physical (both large and fine motor), social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual – to support the whole child during each weekly theme unit. Curriculum is teacher developed based on the Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines. These guidelines provide a reliable tool to gauge learning and development in all of the core areas. Our teachers will regularly observe the children at “work” (play) to record and share observations of children’s activities with parents and plan curriculum to build on children’s interests and needs. Children will be well prepared to enter Kindergarten.
