One of my family's favorite parks to visit is Tierra. It has something for everyone. My husband plays disc golf, the kids play on the playground and our dog and I go on a walk but that is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of things to do at Tierra.

PARKING AND LOCATION
- Tierra is located off of 27th St and Hwy 2
- Lots of parking here.

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES
- Tierra is home to a skate park, soccer field, basketball court, tennis court and a disc golf course!
- There is a walking path that winds through the park and into the Tierra neigbhorhood. Lots of walkers, bikers and runners use this path so make sure to talk to your kids about path etiquette (stay to the right).
- Want to exercise while you walk? You can do the World Trail, an exercise course that follows the walking trail. My kids love to do this exercise course and I love to cheer for them while they do it.
- The Tierra neighborhood is great to explore as well! We were at Tierra years ago during the summer when two camps rolled up to use the playground. My kids were little and I couldn't keep track of them with all the added kids. Another mom at the park suggested that we walk into the Tierra neighborhood because there was a playground pretty near. We found so many green, open shared spaces, good trails and the playground that she was talking about. It is an old school playground with a metal slide and a merry-go-round.

BATHROOMS & OTHER AMENITIES
- There are bathrooms at this park
- There is a shelter that you can book with lots of picnic tables and shade
- There are a couple of benches around the playground but the park doesn't get a lot of shade-great in the winter, very hot in the summer though.
