Park of the Week: Village Meadows

By Mary Monahan June 29, 2022

This week's park led us East and South: Village Meadows, a new neighborhood park near Wysong Elementary. This park is good for young kids.

PARKING AND LOCATION
  • Village Meadows is located at Nashway Rd & Blanchard Blvd.
  • There is no parking lot but plenty of street parking.

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES

  • Village Meadows is a good park for young kids (2-5 years of age). Anyone older would be too big for the playground equipment.
  • There are four swings-including two baby swings.
  • Great sight lines at this park. There are many trees planted in the area but they are still young so I'd recommend going to this park in the morning or in the early evening as there isn't much shade.

BATHROOMS & OTHER AMENITIES

  • This is a neighborhood park so there are no restrooms.
  • There is a covered shelter with two picnic tables right next to the playground.
  • There are benches throughout the park.
  • Green space surround this park and there are trails connecting to it.
