This week's park is not your regular "park;" it is a beautiful rose garden with a fountain. Today we explored the Hamann Rose Garden, Rotary Strolling Garden and the Bicentennial Cascade Fountain area which I'm referring to as one park.

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES
- This is a beautiful area to explore with your children, on a date or by yourself. There are walking paths, fountains, benches and roses everywhere!
- I would suggest packing a picnic and sitting under the shade of the evergreen trees near the fountain
- The Rock Island Bike Trail runs right next to this park so you can bike down easily.
- The Cascade Fountain was just restored and redone and is so relaxing to listen to and look at.
- This park is hot during midday with little shade (roses need a lot of sun). It is best enjoyed in the early evening hours or morning.
- The fountain is well-lit at night.
BATHROOMS & OTHER AMENITIES
- There are bathrooms located across the street at the Sunken Gardens
- You will need to watch young kids carefully at this park since it is right next to 27th St.
- There are benches throughout the area
