Summer Camp Spotlight: Southeast Community College Summer Camps

A week of camp at Southeast Community College will typically include one trip to the pool or splashpad, one trip to a local library or park and 2-3 theme-related trips (examples: trip to the zoo during animal week, climbing a rock wall during fitness week). We will do our best to accommodate all trips listed however, trips are subject to change due to transportation availability, staffing or unforeseeable circumstances. Additional trips or guest visitors may be added depending on availability.

Hours: Activities and field trips will run between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Campers may be dropped off at the Center between 7:30-9:00 a.m. and picked up between 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Food: A nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided each day. Breakfast runs from 8:00-8:30 am.

Leadership: Camp teachers are trained Early Childhood Education professionals and Early Childhood Education program students.   Each group will have a teacher/pupil ratio of 1-15.

Price: 5-Day Camp $160, 4-Day Camp $140, 3-Day Camp $105.

Age Range: 6-11 Years of Age

  • May 30 – June 2 (4-DAY CAMP) – Summer Kickoff (field trips include mini golf and laser tag)
  • June 5 – 9 – Fun, Friends and Fitness (field trips include UNL's Indoor Rock Wall and Hollywood Bowl)
  • June 12 – 16 – Animal Antics (field trips include Henry Doorly Zoo and the Capital Humane Society)
  • June 19 – 23 – Arts, Music and Movement (field trips include Paint Yourself Silly and Mahoney State Park)
  • June 26 – 30 - Kool Kravings (field trips include Hy-Vee)
  • July 5 – 7 (3-DAY CAMP) Party in the USA (field trips include Nebraska State Capitol and a pool)
  • July 10 – 14 – Lights, camera, action (field trips include Marcus Theatres and a Talent Show)
  • July 17 – 21 – Wet and Wild (field trips include Lincoln Children's Zoo and Star City Shores)
  • July 24 – 28 – Let’s Explore S’more (field trips include Morrill Hall and Robber's Cave)
  • July 31 – August 4 – The Best of Lincoln (field trips include Lincoln Children's Museum and Lancaster County Fair)
  • August 7 – 11 Super-Secret Surprise (field trips include Prehistoric Putt and bowling)
