Nebraska Ballet Theatre and School is a unique dance studio in Lincoln, NE with its is a year-round dance model.
When NBTS Owner, Emily Fullerton, saw how stressed families were with everything going on at the end of the school year: graduations, school programs, beginnings of summer activities, family vacation, she saw an opportunity for change at her dance studio.
Instead of adding to the end-of-year chaos with a big dance recital, NBTS is now a year-round model and their recitals and showcases happen in early November and March. This gives families a chance to catch their breath from the end of the school year and it provides dancers with year-round dance education. Why dance year round?
1. Just dance-dancers no longer have to worry about homework, tests or school. They get to focus on dancing and having fun! There are more opportunities to perform and showcase their hard work instead of the typical one time of year recital. They also learn about backstage theatre, set/costuming design, and more!
2. Growth-during the summer months dancers at NBTS focus on goal setting, building new skills, and enjoying the fun of camps right inside their classes. Beach Week, Acro Olympics, and Storybook Theatre & Dance are just a few of the fun curriculums they bring into their classes at no additional charge.

3. Improvement-when dancers participate year round they maintain and improve their skills and technique while also keeping their bodies safe. This helps with injury prevention and helps the students to reach their fullest potential.
4. Movement-dance classes keep kids moving, encouraging them to exercise.
NBTS offers classes for preschool through adults and have moved to a new studio near 56th & Hwy 2. This new studio offers students multiple studios, a dedicated kitchen, dining area and study spaces.
