A few weeks ago, we shared our great experience at the Floating Playground at Louisville State Recreation Area (click here to read it). We went back for a second time to go on the playground and got to enjoy even more of this state park!
This SRA is almost two hundred acres and most of the activities are built around water. You can rent water bikes, paddle boards and kayaks. Many people use the park to fish. We saw a water bike in action-it looked fun. There are five sandpit lakes and a roped off beach area for swimming and of course, the floating playground. You can even canoe to the Platte River.
In addition to all the water activities, there is a huge jumpkin' pumpkin and a well-maintained playground and swings.
You can drive over for the day or reserve a camp site, either way-Louisville State Recreation is a great place to spend time!
