Spring Fun-Visit BRICKLIVE Brickosaurs at Lauritzen Gardens

March 18, 2024

Spring in Nebrasksa is gorgeous but spring at Lauritzen Gardens with their amazing dinosaur brick exhibit it is fantastic!

We went to Lauritzen Gardens over spring break to see their newest exhibit, Bricklive BRICKOSAURS, 30 dinosaur sculptures made from more than 1.5 million bricks. If you like dinosaurs, you'll love this! My personal favorite was the plesiosaur which comes soaring out of a water feature. My 11 year old loved the t-rex mama and her baby and my son liked the family of velociraptors.

If you want a good outdoor activity, this is the place to go. Lots of room to roam (and run).

Dinosaurs are outdoors and indoors and range from the huge T-rex and her baby to teeny, tiny pteranodons. When we had finished finding all of the dinos we headed out onto the grounds to take in the scenery and some of the thousands (yes, thousands) of daffodils coming up.

This dino is made of over 113,000 bricks and took 432 hours to build!

This exhibit is included with paid garden admission ($15 adults, $9 children 3-12) and is free for garden members. Lauritzen Gardens is located at 100 Bancroft St, Omaha, NE 68108. To learn more about the gardens visit their site.
