Park of the Week: Irvingdale (Newly Renovated)

The Irving Park has been recently renovated and it is a great mix of equipment that young and older kids can enjoy (because kids above the age of eight still like playgrounds)!


  • Swings
  • Baby Swings
  • Slides
  • Climbing structures
  • Tennis Courts
  • Pickle Ball Courts
  • Covered Shelter


LOCATION

  • The Irvingdale Park is next to Irving Middle School and behind the Irving Pool. It is near 20th and Van Dorn.

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES

  • Irvingdale Park is part of the Historic Park Corridor along with Rudge Park and Stranksy Park
  • There is lots of green space, big mature trees and a path to walk/bike on.
  • Parks Dept kept the turtle from the original Irvingdale Park.




BATHROOMS, PARKING & OTHER AMENITIES

  • There are no public bathrooms and no drinking fountains.
  • Along with the playground renovation they also re-did the parking lot and there is more parking.
