It has been a long time coming but it was worth the wait. The inclusive playground at Mahoney Park is open and it is great! Thank you to everyone involved for bringing this vision to life. Every person, regardless of ability, should be able to play at a park.
Mahoney Park is in North Lincoln and is more than 75 acres with a golf course, softball fields, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, the new playground and a lot more!

SPECIAL FEATURES & PLAYGROUND NOTES
- There is one entrance and the entire playground is fenced.
- The playground is big with green spaces incorporated and sidewalks throughout.
- Next to the playground (included in the fencing) is an adult fit park.
- There are many thoughtful additions including picnic tables that are wheelchair friendly.
- Lots of climbing equipment.
- I love the family swings.
- Next to the playground are tennis courts and a sand volleyball pit.

LOCATION
- Mahoney Park (not to be confused with Mahoney State Park) is off of 70th and Adams. It is a huge park! If you are looking for the playground, just keep driving, you'll see it eventually-in the middle of the park.

BATHROOMS, PARKING & OTHER AMENITIES
- There are bathrooms next to the park, a water fountain within the park and and a covered shelter within the park.
- There are lots of benches and tables. The playground will get warm in the summer months but as the trees grow, more and more shade will be in the area. We went at 8:00 PM on a hot, July night and it was perfect.
