Indoor climbing and bouldering centers are great on hot, summer days and cold, winter days! Check out what our area has to offer. All three of the centers encourage novice through beginners to come out and learn about bouldering and climbing.
Venture Climb at Eugene Mahoney State Park |
Located in the Activity Center at Mahoney, Venture Climb features a 42-foot climbing wall and bouldering structure. The rock climbing wall is enormous. My kids could do this for hours! As you climb, you have great views with floor to ceiling windows. Venture Climb is for novice through experienced climbers and is ADA-accessible. Climbers or their guardians (for 18 and under) must sign a waiver in person prior to using the facility. The cost is $12 for adults and and $11 for children ages 12 and younger. Combo package for both areas (playground and rock climbing) is $14/person (climbing shoes and harness included).

MW Climbing |
MW Climbing opened in Lincoln a few years ago and it is a hit! MW is an indoor climbing gym with bouldering. What is bouldering? It is done done without ropes or harnesses on shorter walls and there are crash pads for safety. It is $18 for a day pass and shoe rental is $3. MW Climbing is great for all ages and beginner through novice. You can climb and climb and climb!

UNL Outdoor Adventures Center |
UNL's Outdoor Adventures Center offers an climbing and bouldering gym and outside climbing. You can purchase a try-it climb for $15 which includes one top rope climb and then auto belay use and/or bouldering for the remaining 30 minutes of the session. Walk-in try-it climbs are handled as staffing allows. Try-it climbs are available to climbers ages 5 and up. Learn more here.
