Wilderness Station Pediatric Dentistry Hosts Annual Candy Buy Back

Promotes Healthy Teeth and Support U.S. Troops

October 14, 2025

Wilderness Station Pediatric Dentistry is once again helping kids turn their Halloween treats into something even sweeter.

From November 3–6, the office will host its annual Halloween Candy Buy Back, offering children a chance to trade in their extra candy while supporting a great cause.

“Halloween is a fun time for kids, but there can be an abundance of candy for days and days to come,” says Dr. Marty Killeen. “Our Candy Buy Back program gives families a fun way to enjoy the holiday while teaching kids about giving back.”

Children can bring their excess candy to Wilderness Station Pediatric Dentistry during the event dates, where they will be paid $1 per pound of candy (20lbs max). Collected candy will be sent to Troopathon, a nonprofit organization that ships care packages to U.S. service members stationed around the world.

This annual event has become a favorite tradition for local families—combining fun, community spirit, and gratitude.
