🔨Home Depot Kids Workshop-Tow Truck-Make a tow truck! January 3.

📚Winter Break Escape Room: The Great Blizzard Challenge (Grades 4-5)-The snowstorm is closing in! Teams will have 20 minutes to decode clues, unlock puzzles, and beat the clock to escape the library. January 4.

🚌 Elleinad Books presents Make & Take Storytime: Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus-Join us for a fun morning of stories and creativity! We’ll read "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" together and then make a simple craft that kids can take home. January 9.

🪴National House Plant Appreciation Day-Celebrate National House Plant Appreciation Day with Canoyer Garden Center! Mini terrariums, Paint terracotta pots, Air Dry Clay Air Plant Holders, Propagation Station and Succulent/Cacti Garden. January 10.

❄️Winter Walkabout at Spring Creek Prairie-Join us for this leisurely stroll through the winter tallgrass looking for animal tracks and chat about what birds & beasts do to survive the winter.  January 10.

🧸Stuffed Animal Sleepover at Chick-Fil-A-Your stuffed animal will get to meet lots of new friends, participate in some fun activities, and sleep at Chick-fil-A SouthPointe with the cow. After a fun night, your fuzzy friends will be ready to be picked up on Saturday. January 16.

🎨Winterfest at the LUX Center-Join us for a fun-filled afternoon with hands-on art activities for the whole family. January 18.

  The Youth Rally: Walk Together-This year’s theme, “The Audacity to Walk Together In Love,” is inspired by Dr. King’s 1964 Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech—his call for dignity, equality, and freedom for the spirit. The theme highlights the courage required to act, overcome challenges, and build the beloved community through love in action. January 19.

 Nebraska Baseball and Softball presents Fan Fest-The event will feature team introductions, autograph signings, photo opportunities, face painting, inflatables and more. Copies of the 2026 schedule posters for both teams will be free and team merchandise will be available to purchase. January 24.
