LPS Science Fair-The Lincoln Public Schools Science & Engineering Fair is back, inspiring young minds to explore the world of science and innovation! March 5
Fridays at Prairie Pines-The Prairie Pines Nature Preserve and its many grassed trails are open to the public from 9 AM - 5 PM every Friday (except major holidays). Hiking trails, Nature Ninja course, Welcome Center and restrooms are open. March 6, 13, 20, 27
First Fridays at The Eloise Kruger Gallery of Miniatures-Experience student- and staff-curated miniature exhibits, featuring this semester’s highlight: a Nebraska Sod House by local artist Marjorie Bailey. March 6
"Remember the Way" by Heather Henson-Through rhythmic dance games, song circles, crafting, and interactive storytelling, we’ll explore the seasonal cycles, planetary movements, and water’s flow from rivers to the ocean – helping us understand the profound connection between the water systems in our own backyards and the ocean beyond. March 6 and 7
Bird EnCOUNTer-This annual event is sponsored by Wachiska Audubon Society in partnership with Lincoln libraries. Partners include Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center and Raptor Conservation Alliance. March 7
Movie Day: Zootopia 2-Join us for a showing of Zootopia 2. You are welcome to bring a blanket or pillow to sit on. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. March 13
Spiders of Nebraska-This event will discuss some common spiders found in Nebraska, their role in the ecosystem, and some of the research being done at the Hebets Lab on native species. March 15
Nebraska First LEGO League Explore Festival-Explore teams from across Nebraska will showcase all the things they learned during the Explore season! March 21
March Madness Knockout Basketball Tournament-Think you've got what it takes to be the last one standing? Championship round and prizes for skill and heart! In the spirit of fun and friendly competition, all brackets will be randomly assigned. All ages are welcome; players, spectators, family, and friends! March 21
