I am so excited for outdoor concerts again! All of the concert series' listed are kid-friendly and some are pet-friendly. Most suggest bringing your own chair or blanket. Some concerts have food trucks on site or are near restaurants; otherwise, you can pack your dinner and have a picnic. We break down parking, bathrooms, seating and food options for you.

June 2-June 30, Tuesday Evenings

University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s free concert series, Jazz in June, concerts take place every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. during the month of June. Beyond the performances, the series will include education outreach coordinated by community centers and artists. A market will offer food and drinks from 5 to 9 p.m. each Tuesday. Alcohol and dogs are not allowed at the event.

A free concert series, held on Sunday evenings in July and August at the Antelope Bandshell in Antelope Park. Lots of room to spread out, each week has a theme. The Lincoln Municipal Band, Nebraska's only professional wind ensemble, is dedicated to presenting the great tradition of American band concerts to the citizens of Lincoln and Nebraska.

This concert series features local, diverse music! Audience members are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Parking is available on the streets of the surrounding neighborhood and drivers are reminded to leave driveways unblocked. You can walk up to a couple of blocks if it good concert weather.
My kids LOVE this concert space. There is a water feature, a playground and green space to play and another park across street near Bryan West.

Hub and Soul is a free community event designed for people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate music, local food, and Lincoln’s parks. The event is free and there is food for purchase- prepared by The Hub Cafe and local food trucks, as well as local craft beer, hard cider and beverages, will be available for purchase.
This concert takes place at Union Plaza, one of our family's favorite parks! There are trails, a climbing structure, whimsical art and more!

The Lincoln Community Foundation Garden Performance Series is a 52 year tradition. This performance takes place in the beautiful Lincoln Community Foundation Garden which is shaded, has water features and has limited seating. My kids and I used to start the day at Bennett Martin or the Lincoln Children's Museum and then head to the concert and hopefully, a good nap in the afternoon!

We'll have live music on the patio from 6 to 9 PM, and you better believe we'll have refreshing drinks and food from the Mill to keep you dancing all night long. Bring your family, furry friends, and your comfiest chair for the best evening ever.
