Willard Community Center's Early Childhood programs are open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Willard Community Center's Preschool and Pre-k programs are located at 1245 S. Folsom Street and are rated a Step 4 with the Department of Education's Step Up to Quality.
Early Childhood Educators at Willard use the Creative Curriculum in their daily lessons and incorporate Studies into their weekly themes. The Creative Curriculum focuses on Mathematics, Language & Literacy, Social-Emotional, and Physical Education.
In addition, to measure progress & achievements, the teachers assess the children at the beginning of the child's enrollment and again before completion of the program, using the Ages and Stages Assessment tool (ASQ). The ASQ measures five growth and development areas: Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving, and Personal-Social.
