Guided hikes will begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.Description
Kick off the year with a first day hike at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park! Meet at the newly renovated James Family Conservatory & Nature Center. Walk through the conservatory, see the working greenhouse and then explore activities in the nature center. We’ll have a warm campfire for gathering out front and free s’mores, while supplies last.
This year we are doing a hat and scarf theme, so wear your silly, bright, cozy, hygge, hand-made, fuzzy, furry, warm and wonderful hats and scarves!
Prepare for the hike: dress in layers, wear a hat, bring a water bottle and check the forecast. Dogs are allowed on a six-foot leash.
Note that programs may be altered due to weather and trail conditions. Check back for cancellations/modified schedules if severe weather advisories are in the area.
