Description
What do you call it when you look for birds outdoors when it is really cold outside? Brrrrrrding! Kick off the new year with a First Day Hike along the lake and river at Louisville SRA. Meet near the parking lot by the entry kiosk/park office and we’ll explore the wooded trails along the Platte River while doing some winter birding. We will provide binoculars, bird books and share some birding basics.
This year we are doing a hat and scarf theme, so wear your silly, bright, cozy, hygge, hand-made, fuzzy, furry, warm and wonderful hats and scarves!
Be sure to bring water and warm clothing. Dogs are welcome on a six-foot leash.
Note that programs may be altered due to weather and trail conditions. Check back for cancellations/modified schedules if severe weather advisories are in the area.
