Join us at Schramm Park State Recreation Area on Saturday, May 17 (Free Fishing and Park Entry Day) for a day filled with outdoor fun!
Activities include: Grand Opening! Treehouse Classroom Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Meet: Treehouse Classroom overlooking Canyon Ponds Learn about nature and enjoy a view of the Canyon Ponds in this unique educational facility. Our naturalists will have activities set out for guests to enjoy. Can't make it this day?
The Treehouse will also have open hours on Saturday, May 24th from 10-2 and Sunday, May 25th from 12-4 as well as Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays over the summer.
Float on a Pond in a Round Raft Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet: Look for the Round Raft Trailer by a pond in the park. Round Rafts are the perfect water craft for floating around in a pond. To participate, you must fit in a life-jacket and the weight limit is 225 lbs.
Ages 8+ Younger participants may be allowed to ride with an adult when possible based on equipment fit, comfort level and instructor assessment.
Reading the Rocks at the Geological Outcrop Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet: Geological Outcrop across from the Canoe Launch Layers of rock can tell a story about geological events of the past. Discover and learn about fossils of the outcrop that date back to 350 million years ago!
