Description
Help us count our Nebraska winter birds during the Great Backyard Bird Count. Three guided outings will take place at Spring Creek Prairie during the weekend:
Friday, Feb. 13, 10:00-11:30 am - Join Jason to count and chat about scary birds. (It is Friday the Thirteenth, after all.)
Saturday, Feb. 14, 1:00-2:30 pm - Come for a bird count and write Love Letters to Birds.
Sunday, Feb. 15, 11:00 am-12:30 pm - A guided bird outing for all ages and abilities.
Monday, Feb. 16 - No guided walk, but go out to your favorite birding area and count birds on your own or with friends.
No registration is needed, just show up. Dress for the weather, trails may be snowy or wet. Binoculars will be available for use at all outings.
Each February, the world comes together for four days to spend time watching and counting as many birds as they can find. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations.
