Whether you're visiting the Cornhusker State for the first time or you're a local foodie who likes to try it all, we've rounded up some of Lincoln's local restaurant chains you'll definitely want to experience for yourself.

Honest Abe's: Burgers + Freedom-Welcome to the home of tasty beef, soft buns, and a whole lot of gloriously honest food.

The Mill: Coffee and Tea-The Mill Coffee & Tea is a small-batch craft coffee roaster, espresso bar and tea house located in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1975 with five locations.

Sultan's Kite-The Sultan’s Kite offers fresh, authentic Mediterranean food to the people of the Cornhusker state.

Brewsky's-Brewsky's sports grill and bar was born in 1990 and they offer food, beer and lots of sports!

Misty's-Started in 1963, Misty's Restaurant and Lounge has earned votes for Lincoln's Best Prime Rib, Best Steak, Best Place for Dinner and Best Restaurant many times over.

DaVinci's-The Knudson family opened their first restaurant in April of 1978 – Pontillo’s Pizzeria, located at 13th & Q in downtown Lincoln. Pontillo’s Pizzeria was the beginning of a growing restaurant business, leading to daVinci’s five Lincoln locations.

Runza- Runza started in Lincoln, Nebraska, then expanded throughout the state and into some neighboring states. The Runza® Sandwich features fresh-baked bread stuffed with ground beef, onions, their secret blend of spices, and cabbage.

The Cookie Company-The Cookie Company is a family owned business that takes pride in producing homemade, delicious cookies.

Don and Millie's-Starting in Omaha in 1989, Don & Millie's has grown over the years. Locally owned and locally managed specializing in burgers!

Lazlo's-In 1991, Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill opened in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket District, bringing Nebraska its first restaurant-and-brewery, or brewpub. My personal favorite are their onion rings! 

D'Leon's Mexican Food-D'Leon's is a family-owned Mexican restaurant that started with it's first location on West O as the only 24-hour drive through in Lincoln, Nebraska. Don't let the drive thru window mislead you though! None of their food is precooked. They are a Mexican Food Restaurant serving freshly prepared meals everyday.

The Oven-The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor.

Scoops-Locally owned ice cream shop featuring Ashbys premium ice creams, Snowflakes shaved ice & more. My favorite part about this ice cream store? It is cube-shaped!
